The DoubleTree Suites By Hilton Santa Monica, located just blocks away from trendy Santa Monica Beach and Pier, is seeking a goal oriented, energetic and experienced Food and Beverage Director. Property features 253 elegantly appointed guest suites and over 10,000 square feet function space.
The Food and Beverage Director will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire operation for the restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Supervision includes Food and Beverage service, scheduling, hiring, training, catering, banquets and menu development. Candidate must have exceptional food and beverage service and skills and willing to conduct on going service training. Banquet experience necessary.
Candidate also has full responsibility to monitor departmental revenues and expense budgets. The position reports directly to General Manager. Position will require a varied schedule that includes weekends and evenings depending on staffing demands.
Ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of previous Food and Beverage experience. Must have excellent time management, communication and organizational skills. Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of all the various food and beverage sub-departments, e.g. room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchen and lounge.
Develop, implement and monitor schedules for the operation of all food and beverage sub-depatments to achieve a profitable result.
