Location: US - TX - Dallas
Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for assisting in coordinating, supervising and directing all property food and beverage operations, while maintaining a profitable F&B department and high quality products and service levels. In addition, promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.
It is expected that, Director of F&B and their staff, must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
Supervise all F&B personnel.
Supervise and assist in other Hotel management functions, if needed and requested
Be flexible to attend to all needs of the department and/or the hotel
Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
Assist in preparing the F&B budget and monitor department performance.
Perform any and all necessary follow-up, including forecasting.
Monitor industry trends, take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable operations and reports to the GM every day.
Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention.
Coordinate and monitor, all phases of Loss Prevention in the F&B department and other areas and duties as assigned.
Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
Organize and conduct department meetings on a regular basis.
Monitor quality of service and product.
Cooperate in menu planning and preparation.
Ensure timely purchase of F&B items, within budget allocation.
Assist in overseeing operations of the employee cafeteria.
Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
Ensure the training of department heads on SOP’s, report preparation, technical job tasks.
Interview candidates for front-of-house F&B positions and follow all standards and company policies and guidelines for hiring approvals.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction as according to the company standards and/or as advised by the GM
Must have the following qualifications.
Proven record of Events Management & Sales
F&B Experience 2-3 years
Previous experience as a chef
Experience as a chef with multi culture cuisine and fusion is a Plus
HR experience and Management
Time management and good written and oral communications skills
Bar & Lounge experience
