Executive Housekeeper

Holiday Inn & Suites Oceanside

Vero Beach, FL

 

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the daily shift operations of the housekeeping department. Assigns work to employees to ensure property guestrooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained. Completes inspections and holds people accountable for corrective action. Assists in ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining operating budget.

 

  • Verifies that guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Inspects guestrooms on a daily basis.

  • Utilizes a list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.

  • Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies and create supply order forms.

  • Understands the impact of department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives.

  • Hires, trains, and evaluates department personnel.

  • Verifies all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.

  • Supervises daily Housekeeping shift operations and ensures compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures.

  • Participates in departmental meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results.

  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees do the same with them.

  • Participates in scheduling employees to business demands

  • Solicits employee feedback, utilizes an “open door” policy, and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.

  • Sets a positive example for guest relations

  • Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.

  • Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.

  • Strives to improve service performance.

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

  • Heavy work- exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and /or 30 pounds of force consistently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

  • Ability to stand during entire shift.

  • Ability to communicate efficiently with others both verbal and written.

  • Full Time Position, Benefits available after 90 days.

  • Weekends and Holidays Required

  • EEOC Employer. Drug Screen and Background check completed upon hire.

2 years plus Housekeeping experience

Previous Supervisory or Management Required

Basic Computer Skills (Opera System a plus)

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Meticulous eye for details and cleanliness standards

Hotel/Hospitality Field Preferred
