Clean, store, supply, transport and set up all service ware, serving pieces, pots, pans and utensils used in food and beverage facilities. Clean kitchen equipment and maintain the cleanliness of kitchen, service areas, back dock and all other assigned areas.
Sort soiled service ware, serving pieces, pots, pans and utensils, process same through dishwasher or hand wash if necessary, empty dishwasher and place items in proper storage areas. Properly handle soiled linen.
Properly handle and store all kitchen and steward equipment, service ware and serving pieces to avoid breakage. Maintain organization and cleanliness of stewarding storage areas.
Adhere to proper cleaning methods, and properly apply, handle and store all cleaning solutions and chemicals.
Properly clean and maintain dishwasher per manufacturers instructions.
Provide all food and beverage departments with adequate supplies of all service ware and equipment, and deliver and set up these items. Assist with plating and delivery of banquet food.
Comply with health department and hotel sanitation regulations and food handling guidelines.
Possess manual dexterity in hands and fingers to grab and hold a variety of serviceware and serving pieces, and operate all kitchen/steward equipment.
Ability to perform duties in areas with extreme temperature ranges.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull/move loads weighing up to 200 lbs.
Ability to develop and maintain productive interpersonal relationships, and ability to relate well with a wide variety of individuals many of whom will require patience and tolerance.
Ability to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations.
