Job Description

Sales Manager
As a Corporate Sales Manager, you will be responsible for securing and maintaining new business as well as continuous growth of current hotel sales accounts, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving or exceeding budgeted hotel room revenue.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Identify strategies to increase customer base and top line revenue in specified market segments
• Meet weekly sales call activity goals as assigned
• Ability to close new business weekly as well as infiltrate current customer accounts
• Negotiate terms and condition of business deals with group customers and locally negotiated corporate business travel customers
• Make proactive, self-initiated daily contact to potential customers via in-person visits, telephone calls and written correspondence
• Utilize Hotel SalesPro software to trace all sales activities and bookings adhering to company documentation standards
• Prepare and submit weekly SalesPro and Building the Sales Pipeline Trace Reports to supervisor
• Participate in appropriate hospitality and community networking events

Sales Manager Job Requirements:
• Related college degree or related work experience
• Previous outside sales experience with a proven track record of success with finding and closing new business opportunities
• Optimistic self-starter with high degree of drive, motivation and initiative
• Ability to quickly bounce back from rejection
