Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives
Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets
Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, and electronic/social media
Achieves satisfactory profit ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends
Carry and manage a market segment, detailing groups and generating revenue
Conduct site visits and tours
The Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) has direct oversight of the sales operation of the hotel and is responsible for implementing sales and marketing programs.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, strategic partners and clients
Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and present to executive management
Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
Manage and coach Sales Managers, direct training and performance evaluations
Represents company at trade association meetings to promote hotel
Meet with key clients, assisting Sales managers with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
Coordinates liaison between sales department and other units of the hotel
Prepares sales reports, analyzes sales performance and communicate to corporate manage to explain revenue and margins.
