Position Statement:

The key missions of the DOS are to generate revenue on the sales influenced market segments for the Trianon Palace Versailles, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel by developing relationship on his/her portfolio of accounts and managing the hotel-based sales team

Position Summary:

Team Management 30%

* Manage and motivate a team of 2 sales managers

* Ensure that the team achieve their respective Targets set by Director of Business Development (Revenue generated / appointments / Sales calls)

* Monitor and develop team member performance providing supervision and professional development with scheduled 1:1 meetings to provide guidance, deliver recognition and reward

Planning & Reporting Activities 20%

* Leads development and implementation of the Sales strategic plans and initiatives (procedures, strategies, reporting, actions plans, sales trips)

* Develop a Sales Action Plan for each market segment across targeted countries with associated revenue streams.

* Organize Total Account Management plan to analyze production and manage hotel client's database

* Observe the market, identify trends and monitor the main competitors

* Participate weekly in Business Focus Meetings

* Contribute to annual revenue plans and monthly forecasting

Commercial Activities 50%

* Personally manage the US market, the leisure market and high-end accounts

* Maintain & Strengthen relationship with Hilton Worldwide Sales Office and Luxury Sales teams

* Drive and manage structured sales actions: sales blitz, prospecting, Hilton Worldwide sales activities

* Proactive work with team members to generate new business targets on Corporate, Leisure and MICE markets

* Ensure that the Trianon Palace, a Waldorf Astoria hotel, is always represented to a high standard

* Drive existing customers' loyalty

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability


* Excellent communication skills: presentations, written and public speaking

* Significant work experience in sales roles - experience on the US market being a plus

* Proven understanding of client's business and category, including business plans, competitive environment & distribution channels and product financials

* University degree at bachelor level or equivalent or experience in lieu thereof

* Fluency in spoken and written French and English
