North American Hospitality Company is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead our hospitality team at one of our new select service hotels in the Ottawa area. Property has over 200 guest rooms and operates under a national brand flag. Leader should have experience in managing a highly competitive sales operation, group sales and meetings/events in a thriving market. Experience with selling to various market segments such as Business Transient, Group, Extended Stay, Leisure as well as city-wide events all necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
** Must have Canadian Citizenship
Are you organized, detailed oriented and able to create and lead winning sales team? Do you possess great sales and networking skills to assist a sales & marketing team to operate a successful hotel? Do you possess the proven ability saturate a market and negotiate with clients to maximize room capacity? Hire, mentor and lead a sales team to outstanding results? And have the hands on ability to deliver outstanding top line results? This may be the role for you! The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in select service sales operations, national brand experience preferred.
Must be able to manage top accounts in hotel as active sales leader conducting outside appointments as well as attend industry events along with training and motivating the sales team to be the best in the market. Our DOS’s prepare marketing plans, manage department budgets, oversee digital marketing efforts, revenue strategy and continuous growth of all hotel team members in the area of client development and account saturation. Ideal candidate should come from similar size property with proven supervision over catering and events as well as group, BT and extended stay sales. The DOS is responsible for sales and marketing strategies including but not limited to group ceiling and tiered pricing, account negotiations, OTA’s and FIT/Tour Travel and any area that will maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining superior client relationships and exceeding their expectations.
