Well recognized Hospitality Company seeking a Director of Sales in the Baltimore-Washington Airport Market to oversee active sales department representing over 200 guest rooms. This candidate needs to possess 5+  years hotel sales leadership experience and be well versed in various market segments with special emphasis on government, group and BT. This is an advanced level position providing mentoring and coaching to the existing sales team, working closely with revenue management and digital market for revenue maximization, as well as handle all administrative duties such as annual budgeting, RFP negotiations, monthly marketing strategy, social media exposure and be the communication liaison to both the management company and ownership.


Ideal candidate has strong work ethic with an eye for details as well as provides excellent client services.   

 Must be self-motivated and proactive in leading this sales team.    

 Out of the box mentality and willingness to explore new avenues for revenue generation.     

 Role is a hands-on active selling role with responsibility for securing and growing key accounts.  

Versed in social media channels and able to manage virtual sales of hotel.   

Assist with setting sales call/appointment goals (direct sales) and revenue generation for themselves and team.

Candidate should be very familiar with various hotel reporting (STR, forecasting, P&L, etc).    

Must be familiar with the Baltimore Market – key generators, seasonality, events, and group leisure travel entering or hosted in the area. Excellent at networking with area businesses and associations.   

Candidate must be a role model in sales as well as a leader within the hotel.

Must exemplify great leadership, professional attitude, and be comfortable servicing as the face of the hotel in the community

Prior sales in select service brands or boutique hotels helpful.                                                                                          Experience with Opening/Renovations/Rebranding helpful

Hotel Director of Sales experience required
