Job Description

The Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel is located in St. Louis' vibrant midtown/Clayton neighborhood. The hotel has 257 guest rooms, 18,000 square feet of meeting room space, and a full-service restaurant and lounge.

The Director of Sales is responsible for planning and managing the overall sales, marketing, catering and revenue management efforts for the hotel. Overseeing the solicitation efforts of the sales and catering team as well as monitering sales activities/performance to ensure sales goals are met and/or exceeded. Developing and implementing the marketing plan as well as plans to maintain current accounts as well as securing new accounts. Prosepcting and developing new accounts. Develop and implement annual business objectives as well as forcasting and budgeting for the hotel.

Job Requirements

Previous hotel sales experience required.
Possess a proven track record of success in achieving revenue objectives.
Ability to motivate and train sales and catering team.
Ability to effective lead and manage the sales and catering team.
Must be knowledgable in negotiating and have strong sales skills.
Must have excellent presentation and communication skills.
Ability to manage complex projects and deadlines.
