Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, execution, and measurement of strategic and tactical yield and inventory management to maximize rooms revenue via major distribution channels, including the GDS, Central and On-property reservations, website, and on-line travel agency internet sites. This position will support the General Manager and the Sales Team by providing pertinent information and tools to enhance the property’s sales and marketing efforts and decision making processes. This positon will identify , communicate, and execute opportunities to increase incremental revenue based on historical demand, regional, seasonal and competitive influences and market, group performance, price sensitivity by market segment, demand and reservation costs across multiple sales channels. This position with assistance from the Director of Sales & Marketing will provide short-term and long-term rooms revenue projections, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and full-year projections.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Set and manage appropriate yield controls to maximize the hotel’s revenue from all distribution channels, including CRO, GDS, website and 3rd party channels

  2. Communicate sell strategies with sales and operations teams

  3. Monitor and evaluate market demand trends, including surveying the competitors strategies

  4. Conduct weekly Yield meetings with agenda, and recommendations for short- and long-term growth

  5. Attend Sales & Marketing meetings

  6. Provide statistical information to Executive Committee members

  7. Complete and submit monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports

  8. Set and ensure accurate rate (SRP) loads

  9. Monitor and evaluate CRO performance on a weekly and monthly basis

  10. Provide reports measuring results hotel’s and Sales & Marketing efforts and interpreting as needed

  11. Set appropriate and congruent pricing among all market segments and distribution channels

  12. Develop pricing strategies for all markets, by season if appropriate

  13. In conjunction with E-commerce team, provide opportunity dates on a calendar basis to result in incremental revenue opportunities

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • College Degree preferred

  • Knowledge of Internet distribution channels (business models and operations)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
