It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will assist the Director of Food & Beverage in the leading and directing the operation of the Hotel's Food & Beverage Division. The Director of Restaurants and Bars will be entrenched in the daily operational function and act as a subject matter expert on all aspects of the F&B division including (but not limited to) food preparation, beverage trends, guest service, colleague relations, union compliance, etc.
We are looking for a Director of Restaurants and Bars for our various restaurant outlets. Incumbent should have a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in management and food & beverage, preferably in a luxury hotel. Responsibilities include but not limited to developing yearly budget and monthly forecast, monitoring payroll of various outlets, monitoring operational expenses and quality performance; conducting regular F&B meetings; supporting F&B outlet managers; assisting in the daily activities of the restaurant outlets; coaching and counseling; and ensuring the overall successful operation of the Food & Beverage division. Incumbent must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with OpenTable, Time Saver, Infogenesis, and MS Office products is necessary. TIPs certification is a plus. A flexible AM/PM schedule is required, including weekends and holidays. This is a full-time management position only.
The Director of Restaurants and Bars will report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage. S/he will oversee will be responsible for providing ongoing guidance and operational leadership to varied F&B outlets and assisting in the day-to-day management of the Food & Beverage Division.
