SCOPE OF POSITION

With the goal of exceeding total hotel top line revenues and profit, this creative, dynamic, and resourceful team player is responsible for overall marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations. This individual overseesdevelopment and execution of comprehensive marketing plans and strategies. This position directs the marketing team in planning, development, and implementation of marketing initiatives for all of the resort's revenue departments. In addition, s/he executes directs marketing communications and public relations both external and internal. The Director of Marketing continuously monitors trends and keeps a close eye on competitors in the marketplace.S/he regularly meets with community members, partners and senior management. This individual also plays a key role in the community as the face of the RESORT and acts as the lead point person in the formulation of all partner marketing agreements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS

∙ Direct messaging/brand positioning for The Sirata Beach Resort

∙ Create and direct brand voice guidelines for entire resort and all revenue generating departments

∙ Direct PR Agency, Digital Marketing Agency and Advertising Agency

∙ Direct Marketing Coordinator, Brand Marketing, Digital and Public Relations Managers

∙ Direct/align marketing managers

∙ Develop partner relationships


* Identify, negotiate agreement and cultivate relationships to maximize benefits and exposure
* Leverage partner channels and assets

∙ Identify and vett new ideas and guest experiences, and work with operations team for rollout

∙ Direct and manage community relations strategy

* leverage partner channels for exposure
* create events and activations for memorable guest experiences in conjunction with community partners

∙ Strategic planning and brand development

∙ Research, identify and capitalize on new market opportunities

∙ Develop and implement annual strategic marketing plan

∙ Direct media planning and buying in conjunction with ad agency

∙ Direct creative campaign development and production

∙ Work with Digital Marketing Manager on database management and direct marketing strategies

∙ Oversee Digital Marketing Manager on internet marketing strategies; and web site development and performance

∙ Develop and manage the marketing budget/forecast

∙ Provide marketing expertise to the executive management team

∙ Work with corporate affiliates on cross-promotional initiatives

∙ Create internal communication presentations for stakeholders

∙ Review/approve contracts, IOs, POs, financials, invoices
