Job Description

The Buffalo Niagara Marriott Hotel is located in the heart of Amherst's premier business and University of Buffalo district.

The Director of Human Resources is a member of the hotels executive staff. The HRD is an active, hands-on position with duties that include leading a team responsible for design, execution, and service for recruitment and staffing, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and performance management.

The Director of Human Resources will take a strategic business leadership role supporting the hotel in implementing HR systems and processes to drive business performance. This individual will have responsibility for providing support to approximately 200 employees. The HRD must be a detail orientated individual who has the ability to get out into the operation and interact with the hotel associates.

The top candidate for this role should have at least 6 years of Human Resources, including 4 years managing other professionals. The candidate will have a track record of being a team builder and partnering with a management team to implement programs that result in improved associate engagement and drive business performance and results.

Prior hotel experience a plus.
