Reporting to the Director of Sales & Events, the Director of Event Sales has the primary responsibility for booking and finalizing banquet event functions, inclusive but not limited, to weddings and other social functions, corporate dinner parties and conferences, and holiday parties; in meeting or surpassing quota production. The incumbent hires, trains, manages, and coaches approximately three to ten Event Managers in their selling process. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces, and profiling accounts. Communication and organization skills are of utmost importance.

* The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years Catering / Conferences Services experience in a comparable senior management position at a 4-5 star hotel.
* A degree or diploma in Hospitality will definitely be an asset.
* Proven sales performance experience in meeting/exceeding sales goals.
* Recognized Catering designation would be advantageous.
* Energetic and outgoing; driven to provide outstanding guest service.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of guests and colleagues.
* Excellent organizational, computer, analytical, and problem solving skills.
