What will I be doing?

As the Director of Business Development, you are responsible for the design and implementation of the hotel business plan as it affects sales, revenue, reservation, and group events and marketing efforts. Specifically, a Director of Business Development will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

* Build and maintain a strong Business Development team focused on sales and revenue
* Recruit and select of Business Development team

* Structure and review a financially sound and accurate Business Plan

* Research and produce the Annual Revenue proposal, monitor throughout the year, and update the plan, as necessary

* Schedule action plans to support revenue initiatives

* Develop and drive all hotel revenue opportunities.

* Understand and monitor market trends, competitor activity, and economic influences

* Analyze and benchmark performance of competitors

* Maintain effective working relationships with all key suppliers

What are we looking for?

A Director of Business Development serving Hilton Worldwide Brand hotels and vacations are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
  • A strong understanding of all commercial operations, including reservations, selling strategies across all business units and segments, account management, development of relationships within various source markets, establishment and maintenance of budgets, and revenue strategies and yield systems. Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • Strong people management skills
  • Goal-oriented with obvious drive and self-motivation
  • Experienced, confident, and presentable disposition
  • Intermediate to advance computer proficiency
  • Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate-level degree, preferred
