Job Description

Position Description:

IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will perform the design management associated with the capital projects of the portfolio as it relates to interior design and architecture. The position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: professional design development and management, project scoping, contracting, scheduling, expenditure tracking, reporting, historical record keeping and cost analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide the design and planning for capital and R&M projects in the portfolio.
2. Provide recommendations, bidding, analysis, contracting and payment processing for design related professionals.
3. Manage the interior design and architectural efforts for legal compliance as it relates to ADA and Fair Housing Standards.
4. Manage the brand approval submission of design efforts.
5. Stay abreast of the design and construction design standards for all brands.
6. Support and coordinate with properties on property design needs.
7. Maintain design capital records in an organized and sustainable process.
8. Manage the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) replenishment and replacement needs of the properties.
9. Work with procurement agent to ensure expediting of FF&E orders.
10. Assist in the development of a pool of third party design professionals of which we may draw upon for design services.
11. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

CORPORATE DESIGN MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Interior Design or Architecture, Design Management, Scheduling, Brand Standards, Codes, Microsoft Excel, Office Experience - General, Reporting Skills, Verbal Communication, Administrative Writing Skills

REQUIREMENTS: • 3 years interior design experience preferred • 2 years supervisory experience leading and directing design individuals and consultants preferred. • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a design related field • Hospitality industry experience preferred
