Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach & Marina Hotel - Is just 7 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport or a short drive to Long Beach Airport. This Beach-Area Hotel is close to the Headquarters and Regional South Bay-Torrance and El Segundo Automotive, Aerospace, Healthcare, Financial and Manufacturing Business. In this role you will consult with the sales staff and/or meeting planner to identify optimal meeting room configuration, recommendations on meeting break/flow, recommendations on food and beverage options to improve meeting efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities include coordinating all guest room blocks, rooming lists, meeting space, F&B functions, requirements and special guest room amenities with appropriate departments while all aspects of the meeting are delivered as per the contract and to the satisfaction of the meeting planner. You will complete a final daily debrief with the meeting planner and provide the meeting planner with a post convention/meeting survey.

Job Requirements

Requirements include a Hotel/Restaurant degree and 2-3 years in a sales or catering/convention services department or comparable experience working with meeting planners, or equivalent combination of education and experience. You must have the ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc. and have the ability to work in an on-call basis. We require a valid Driver's License and you may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. An alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card,may be required by local or state government agency.
