Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Corporate Sales Manager to oversee two properties at the St. Louis Market; Best Western Plus – The Charles Hotel and Comfort Inn St. Louis – Westport. The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing the Corporate sales-related opportunities. Actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieves personal and team related revenue goals. Ensure business is turned over properly to the correct departments and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery.

Position profile:

  • Work collaboratively with both the VP of Sales and the Regional Director Sales as well as off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
  • Researches competition and assesses general market conditions for the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Actively pursues new corporate relationships in the Corporate Transient and Group Markets
  • Proactive in managing existing accounts to maintain core relationships.
  • Carefully and thoroughly walking new prospective clients through the sales cycle to discover their preferences and personalized services that meet their needs
  • Research and discover new market trends to drive new business and build upon existing business.
  • Provide total account management using company software and database tools to manage client relationships and group requests.
  • Enthusiastically and passionately pursue performance goals as set by senior management
  • Developing, implementing and executing quarterly and annual action plans to drive activity.
  • Prepare sales reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis and as and when required.
  • Quoting and providing booking confirmation based on current/future forecasts and creating and providing clients with contracts
