In this role, you will sell hotel room nights through direct client contact and implement hotel-level tactical sales plans as assigned and produce monthly reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility. The ideal candidate will produce corporate sales in DTLA and surrounding markets through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, written communications with strong emphasis on outside sales calls. Essential duties will include the proven ability to chase down leads and close potential business. You will proactively solicit and manage corporate group related opportunities and actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity.

As a Sales Manager, you will also develop and continually enhance relationships with key accounts, organizations and professional companies to maintain high visibility and increase market share. This role will work closely with IHG Global Sales to drive group production to actively participate in forecasting and goal setting and in the annual budget process, and development of sales and marketing plans. You will successfully and consistently achieve minimum weekly sales activity requirements while tracking all weekly sales activities including goal-to-current production status using hotel sales system.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, and 4 years total experience working with a large or a variety of market segments, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting. Experience in the DTLA segment is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once. Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints.

You must be able to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc. and may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
