Job Description

Atrium is currently seeking a Corporate Accounting Supervisor to work closely with and perform accounting-related duties for its Hotel and Corporate Accounting teams on key projects and organizational initiatives. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: supervision of a staff accountant team, financial statement preparation, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, daily revenue and cash reconciliations and other related finance projects. This position will also be expected to cover these responsibilities for assigned properties in addition to covering the team during PTO or high volume times of the month. The successful candidate must also be able to enforce department standards and provide feedback to the Corporate Accounting Manager regarding team performance concerns.


1. Supervise a team of Corporate Staff Accountants in the performance of assigned functions (includes assisting in the performance management of the team).

2. Review and approve journal entries prepared by Corporate Staff Accountants, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

3. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly metrics reporting for month-end close, daily reporting and other ad-hoc reports as required.

4. Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned hotels, in collaboration with the Hotel and Corporate Accounting team.

5. Review and/or prepare balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy, completeness, appropriate support and error resolution.

6. Review and/or prepare bank account reconciliations for accuracy, completeness, appropriate support and error resolution.

7. Daily review of hotel revenues and posting in the General Ledger.

8. Train Corporate Staff Accountants and be available for resource.

9. Assist in evaluating reports, decisions and results of the department in relation to established goals.

10. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.

11. Maintain and review accounting records and compile reports from the database.

12. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements

1. 4 - 7 years of related experience.

2. 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

3. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline required OR 7 years in an Accounting and Finance leadership position.

4. Hospitality industry experience preferred.
