Reconcile Hotel bank reconciliations, credit card and balance sheet accounts.
Prepare journal entries and clear all reconciling items.
Prepared multiple monthly financial statements and distribute monthly financials.
Review and approve AP submissions weekly.
Post entries to general ledger, analyze and interpret variances as they may arise.
Prepare and file sales tax returns and property bill backs; to include, but not limited to, management fees, health insurance, workers comp, property insurances and corporate expenses.
Assist with annual budgeting process. Responsible for handling accounting duties for a variety of properties.
Assist Corporate Controller with special projects and tasks as assigned.
Preferably, a bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required.
A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in the Hospitality Industry with multiple property experience
Must have intermediate Microsoft Word, and Excel proficiencies with excellent verbal and written skills.
Requires intermediate knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, knowledge of financial terms and principles to include accounting methods (cash, accruals, and full GAAP)
High attention to detail & accuracy. Strong organization and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Flexibility to adjust priorities in response to rapidly changing circumstances/deadlines
M3 Accounting knowledge a plus.
Some travel required for onsite audits and transitions
