Job Description

Essential Functions:

  1. Ability to demonstrate proficiency on all cook stations

(including grill, fry, sautee, panty)

  1. Setup line and prep food items for service on a daily basis
  2. Keep stations clean, organized, and fresh daily
  3. Cook appropriate items at your station according to business demands
  4. Maintain appropriate temperatures for walk-ins, meats/poultry, etc.
  5. Assist Executive Chef and Sous chef with training new kitchen personnel
  6. Communicate Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and FOH
  7. Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef with Banquets
  8. Maintain appropriate par levels of food items depending on business levels
  9. Maintain organization and freshness of walk-ins
  10. Present new menu ideas
  11. Elaborate with servers about food items
  12. Communicate with hotel personnel and/or other aspects of hotel business

Knowledge and Skills:

Education: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; culinary school


Experience: 4 years of employment in a related field with this company or

other organizations(s) preferred but not necessary.

Age: Must be 18 years of age

Skills and Abilities: Communication (English) skills and hospitality skills required

Ability to work with others in a close environment

Ability to work with sharp knives/equipment

Ability to work with extreme hot/cold temperatures of foods

Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

Food Handler trainable
