Job Description


The Hilton Santa Clara is seeking a Convention Services Manager to join our great team and enjoy all the benefits of our exciting hotel environment! Come be part of one of the finest Santa Clara Four Diamond Hotels featuring 280 rooms in the heart of Silicon Valley next to the San Francisco 49'ers Levis Stadium, Great America Amusement Park and Santa Clara Convention Center.

All aspects of event planning from the signing of group contracts forward.  Working with group customers and various hotel departments to plan and execute all types of group events, overseeing the reservations process and facilitating the billing procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •          In relation to coordinating group events, overseeing reservations, catering, banquets, and organizing event                      details, rooming lists and banquet functions
  •          Coordinate all groups booked by sales managers.
  •          Produce and distribute all banquet event orders (BEO’s)
  •          Establish contact and build rapport with meeting planners and housing companies
  •          Handle group comps, staff and cutoff dates
  •          Set up group master accounts and establish direct billing when necessary
  •          Inform all hotel departments of special instructions
  •          Monitor group pick up
  •          Produce and distribute group resumes
  •          Responsible for group account details
  •          Work with outside vendors to facilitate group needs and requirements
  •          Attend all meetings regularly:

 - Sales and Catering Team meeting

 - Staff meetings

 - F&B meetings

 - Any other meetings that required attendance.
