Position Description:

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensure timely distribution of all BEO’s and Resumes to the appropriate departments and follow up on any questions
* Maintains detailed files, notes, records, and trace systems to ensure event meets with customer expectations

* Verify space requirements and meeting room set-up with the client, and ensures that public space needed is properly maintained and in good condition.

* Confirm revisions in agendas, room blocks, etc. and notify corresponding departments in a timely manner.
* Finalize the program/agenda with client and check all scheduled functions one hour prior to start time. Need to be available to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends.
* Review event sheets and work with appropriate departments to ensure quality and satisfaction.
* Maintain positive guest and employee relations through prompt, precise, and courteous communication.
* Work with customers to ensure their meeting goals are met or exceeded.
* Upsell packages to customers
* Offer Pre and Post Convention Meetings giving the customer to communicate with the hotel teams on expectations and areas the hotel opportunity to customer and coordinate the meetings professionally

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

To execute this position effectively and successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and /or ability required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both written and oral. Ability to effectively present information in one on one or small group situations to customers, clients, owners and other associates of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to investigate and analyze large amounts of data drawing conclusion on that data and offering recommendations for improvement of hotel revenues. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES:

* Have computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand specific property Management System(s).
* Exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
* Use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
* Interact with all levels of customers and hotel management.
