Job Description

To support the Director of Finance in supervising, monitoring and reviewing all site accounting activities including account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable and the monitoring of control features.

1. Coordinate all on site accounting functions with the Director of Finance.
2. Train and coordinate activities of the accounting staff.
3. Ensure a smooth Accounts Payable process.
4. Assist in attaining financial goals.
5. Ensure the timely billing of all direct bill accounts with complete backup and accurate invoices.
6. Prepare Balance Sheet analysis.
7. Ensure maintenance of all daily filing of documents needed for research requests from guest and in-house users.
8. Complete all general ledger and bank reconciliation.
9. Ensure all guest disputes and requests for clarification is resolved and/or responded to in a timely manner.
10. Produce accurate financial statements.
11. Ensure an effective tracking system for all rebates/adjustments.
12. Prepare inter-company reconciliation and solve disputes.
13. Ensure daily balance of Income Audit to Daily Report and a timely month-end close.
14. Ensure that daily cash management functions - dial up bank, check balances, reconcile accounts, fax transfers or funding requests are prepared properly.

Job Requirements

1. Must have a minimum of four years of accounting experience in a leadership role.
2. Previous experience as an Assistant Director of Finance in a hotel preferred.
3. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
4. Must have proven leadership skills and must be able to direct, develop and motivate staff
5. Proficiency in general ledger accounting including preparing, reading, interpreting and analyzing financial statements.
6. Mastery level of payroll, accountable payable, accounts receivable, and income audit functions.
