Job Description

The Concierge is responsible for assisting the Front Office Manager in assuring the highest caliber of guest experience for all guests of the property. This person must have, upon request, information on local community events, area attractions, entertainment, shops, restaurants, travel and service related businesses. This person will perform the daily paperwork to keep the Concierge desk operating effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of local businesses, area attractions, and community events.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Pleasant phone demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Ensure that all guests are being taken care of in a quick and professional manner. Keep Front Office Management informed of all problems or situations that may be of concern on a timely basis. Assist in maintaining proper information and updating the files at the Concierge desk. Order supplies for desk weekly. Provide and disburse up-to-date information concerning all local activities, special events and area attractions.  Be aware of all in-house or arriving V.I.P.’s.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist other departments as needed.

ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor lobby setting, with a desk and phone. High visibility with constant guest contact.
