Job Details

The role of the Marketing and Communications Manager is to ensure all tasks directed for the hotels are implemented at the highest standard and within allocated timelines. These include and are not limited to: PR, marketing, advertising, collateral development, ecommerce and promotions. This position will support internal company communication needs using a variety of communication methods and media, leveraging multiple channels and mediums to effectively promote the company’s brand and positioning internally and within the marketplace. This position will make an impact by writing and developing effective and concise internal and external communications. This position will also develop intranet, internal email and print content.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills to be considered for the position:

  • Proficient and articulate writing skills
  • Develop and maintain an effective company communication strategy and framework
  • Author and publish internal communication materials including but not limited to global and country specific communications and announcements, project based communications, internal newsletters, meeting minutes, and executive and/or business level presentations
  • Actively support and evolve the organization’s communication, branding and business strategies
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with coworkers and employees in other departments; Interacts with corporate regional teams, including executives and hotel level management teams
  • Ability to effectively and consistently meet deadlines and production targets while flexible enough to deal effectively with change
  • Proficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Possesses the ability to create high impact, concise, content specific  communications

Supports the Corporate Sales Office by providing corporate communication and administrative support to Regional Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of e-Commerce. Liaises with WIH hotels to execute marketing campaigns. Helps to develop, drive and implement new corporate initiatives and programs for the Digital Marketing Department.

Job Requirements


40% Marketing Communication Management:

  • Manages Recognition Programme implementation project by maintaining due dates and follow up with the designated team members.Provides input and feedback on critical path as well as programme structure and programme technical/operational implementation.

  • Actively engaged in the re-branding campaign with supervisory duties for hotel compliance

  • Upkeep of the US, South Pacific and MENA Warwick Hotels website in our Content Management Systems

  • Campaign management: Initiating and coordinating marketing campaigns

  • Facilitates global website changes and structural updates for hotels in assigned regions and moderates the content updates for US, South Pacific and MENA hotel websites.

  • Performs quarterly Digital Health Checks for USA, SoPac and MENA hotels

  • Trains and advises all staff for US, SoPac and MENA on Content Management System and provide on-going support and instruction to staff responsible for hotel website maintenance; which includes creating and developing documentation resources for staff CMS use

  • Develops website content when HTML is required to achieve a function desired, beyond the abilities of staff through the CMS

  • Organizes as necessary to ensure that each hotel consistently has proper marketing and communications responsibilities assigned to individuals on staff in order to carry out corporate initiatives at a hotel level

  • Directs and monitors hotel level admins who are responsible for hotel social media account content and animation

  • Manages internal communications for digital marketing and social media initiatives to WIH hotels

  • Manages vendor relationships and hotel cooperation for marketing initiatives and special projects

  • Plans and facilitates special projects for Digital Marketing Department

  • Is part of the CRM development team relating to Guest Campaign and Guest Communication tools

  • Contributes to the strategic planning, building and structuring of WIH recognition programme as part of the core team

30%  Marketing Analyst:

  • Compiling revenue data and other statistics from hotels for corporate roll-up reports

  • Creating key reports for corporate level use

  • Ad hoc reporting for operations on guest satisfaction statistics and management assessment

  • Run and distribute weekly, monthly and robust quarterly group reports for multiple departments

25%  Administrative

  • Writes and distributes SOPs for Digital Marketing Department

  • Administration of Trade Show logistics for US Sales & Marketing

  • Administers employee access and support for the group to online marketing& operations metric tools(Clarabridge, ReveiwPro, TripAdvisor)

  • Monitors, responds and follows up on generic email correspondence from branded email accounts

  • Works with hotels on e-marketing campaigns

  • Manages vendor invoicing & payment requests for US Sales & Marketing department

  • Centralized billing contact & coordinator for Consortia programs for WIH group

  • Performs clerical duties such as typing correspondence, filing, creation of purchase orders and check requests, answering phones and working as the main point of contact via e-mail for various outlets including travel agent and airline employee rate inquiries, best rate guarantee claims and insuring the various inquiries copied to the sales offices across Warwick and to the Regional Director of Sales are directed to the proper individuals and are handled accordingly.

  • Maintain and upkeep various filing systems, including vendor information where necessary.

  • Keep up with travel news and trends by reading the various print and digital and hospitality publications.
