The College of Charleston Spring Internship Program is designed to introduce resort operations to the intern, develop the intern’s knowledge of Wild Dunes Resort and employ the intern for the summer months. While structured, the internship is flexible to accommodate the developmental needs of the intern. Once the internship is successfully completed, the intern will be ready to accept a full-time, summer seasonal position.

Available Internships:
Food & Beverage—Huey's Southern Eats Restaurant (1 available)
Spring Semester: 15-30 hours/week 
The intern will work the front of the house day to day operations in our food and beverage outlet, Huey's Southern Eats. The intern will act as a liaison between the front of the house, the kitchen and the guests.

Food & Beverage—Hudson’s Market (1 available)
Spring Semester: 15-30 hours/week 
The intern will work the front of the house day to day operations in our food and beverage outlet, Hudson’s Market. The intern will act as a liaison between the front of the house, the kitchen and the guests.
 
Food & Beverage—Coastal Provisions (1 available)
Spring Semester: 15-30 hours/week 
This will work the front of the house day to day operations in our resort casual restaurant, Coastal Provisions.   The intern will act as a liaison between the front of the house, the kitchen and the guests. 


Hotel Operations—Front Desk (1 available)
Spring Semester 24 hours/week 
This intern often provides the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for creating an excellent first impression. The Front Desk intern’s main areas of focus will be guest registration, room assignments, guest inquiries/assistance and key control responsibilities.

Hotel Operations—Housekeeping Quality Inspection (2 available)
Spring Semester: 16-30 hours/week
This
intern will work in all aspects of Housekeeping Operations including, but not limited to: Supervising, Inspecting, Houseperson Duties, Turndown Duties, Linen & Laundry, Room Attendant Observations, and Financials.

Reservations/Call Center (1 available)
Spring Semester: 20-30 hours/week
This intern will support the reservations team.

Conference Services (1 available)
Spring Semester: 10-20 hours/week
This intern will work as a service ambassador/liaison, on behalf of Conference Services, between the Meeting Planner and the various hotel operating departments. This intern will also ensure a seamless guest/group experience while onsite, through personal interaction and attendance throughout the duration of the events.
