Colleague Services Agent

Nestled behind the Famous Chateau Lake Louise is a community of up to 850 colleagues. As a dynamic member of the Colleague Services Team, this position focuses on ensuring the well-being of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise employees and residents. This role has an integral impact on the satisfaction and comfort of residents (our guests) in colleague accommodations. In this role, at the Uniform Facility, you will also meet hundreds of colleagues/guests who just like you are here to have an experience of a lifetime!

Hotel Overview: Nestled on the edge of Alberta’s Lake Louise in the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is an all-season recreational paradise that has attracted guests from around the world since 1890. Only a two-hour drive west of Calgary, the property is enveloped by some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet. Facilities include 554 guest rooms, Health Club and Spa, five restaurants, a deli and a lounge. As well, we also have retail shopping, a business centre, horseback riding and canoeing in the Summer, and sleigh rides in the Winter.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Colleague Services Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Handling telephone and counter inquiries

*

Daily receipt, sorting and organization of clean uniforms

*

Sort and send soiled uniforms to cleaners

*

Supply and exchange staff uniforms

*

Handle staff dry-cleaning and accompanying paperwork

*

Janitorial duties include vacuuming and/or washing entrance floors and stairwells, walls, doors etc. throughout the public spaces of the staff accommodations

*

Delivering furniture to or removing from staff residence rooms

*

Daily pick-up and delivery of dry-cleaning, linen and uniforms

*

Daily pick-up and delivery of staff and hotel mail

*

Carpet cleaning in staff residence

*

Cleaning of vacant units

*

Physically demanding job duties - 100% standing, walking, lifting and bending

*

Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program

*

Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required

*

Other reasonable duties as assigned

Job Requirements

* Mature, enthusiastic and energetic

* Enjoys working for and helping the public

* Previous customer service experience an asset

* Works well with little or no supervision

* Able to work in a fast paced environment

* Must be flexible and able to handle a variety of tasks

* Must be detail oriented and highly organized

* Must possess and be able to provide a valid Alberta driver's license

Up to date driver's abstract free of any serious demerit points

* Must possess safe work habits with an awareness of safe work procedures

* Basic sewing and clothing-fitting skills an asset

* Janitorial, housekeeping or similar experience preferred

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

* Ability to lift, carry and move large and heavy items on a regular basis. Minimum of 50 lbs.

* Constant standing and walking through shift
