Job Description

To maintain the appearance and the quality of coffee break stations by setting up, replenishing, and breaking down the food service.


    Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service, or manual areas.

    This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of one-year job-related experience.


    Must read the coffee break forecasting book upon arrival to understand the operational needs for the day as well as the set-up locations. The attendant should be aware of break times for each group.
    Responsible for setting up all food stations, beverage stations & coffee stations along with condiments, glassware, and supplies in an aesthetic manner.
    Replenishing all food and beverages to ensure they are full, and served at the proper temperature
    Anticipates guests’ needs and always portraying the highest level of service
    Practices “clean as you go” techniques of service, keeping the station clean, neat, and fully stocked at all times including counters and floors surrounding the coffee break hubs.  Coffee break attendant must clean these areas during downtime.
    Helping maintain cost and eliminating waste in the coffee break areas.
    Communicate with the garde cooks and pastry departments on additional needs prior to items running out.
    Wraps and takes all perishable food items to the kitchen so it can be determined by the culinary team which items can be reused again or in any other food out and beverage outlets.
    Cleaning and maintaining the back service hall areas, cages, and closets on both the first and second floor.  These areas must consistently be free of crumbs and debris.  Carts must be organized and wiped down at all times.
