QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Two years restaurant experience. High volume experience. Basis knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Extensive wine knowledge. Pleasant personality. Excellent communication skills.
Interact with guests to take drink and food orders. Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain all specials, promotions and snacks. Communicate with kitchen for food ordering. Ensure prompt delivery of food and drink orders to the guest’s table. Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and food that is served at the property. Suggest pairings of food to wine or beer. Handle all checks and cash according to procedures. Ensure cleanliness of bar and atrium areas including polished flatware, clean glassware and plates. Be familiar with all property amenities and services. Set-up & breakdown of service area before and after shifts. Daily stocking of all service areas. Be completely knowledgeable about all food and drinks served in restaurant and bar.
Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Help out in other areas of the restaurant and bar, including seating guests.
