Club Concierge Supervisor

Position Summary
Responsible for training and supervising Concierge staff. Ensures that all requests for information or assistance are fulfilled in an exceptionally courteous, efficient, and professional manner commensurate with a world-class hotel. Provides knowledgeable and comprehensive information about hotel and surrounding area, including restaurants, attractions, transportation, and recreational activities. Presents guest orientation sessions for new arrivals. Develops and maintains a database detailing such services and appropriate contact personnel. Networks with the providers of leisure, dining, and transportation companies to promote exceptional working relationships. Promotes hotel food and beverage facilities and recreational activities. Maintains excellent condition of Concierge service areas.

 Ensures that all guest information and reservation requests are fulfilled in a professional, prompt, courteous, and efficient manner
 Assists in merchandising hotel facilities to promote greater familiarity, utilization, and incremental revenues
 Promotes hotel food and beverage outlets and recreational and seasonal activities
 Places dining, leisure, and recreational activity reservations for guests
 Generates standard directions to provide to hotel guests, producing directional cards for most commonly requested destinations
 Assists Sales/Conference Management with preliminary arrangements for groups, including transportation, and golf tournaments
 Coordinates the delivery and placement of arrival amenities for suite guests
 Inspects all VIP arrival guestrooms
 Contacts all VIP guests to ensure comfort offer personal service
 Coordinates and presents orientation sessions for new arrivals
 Monitors and ensures documentation of services provided in Concierge Logbook
 Prepares department shift reports
 Inspects and maintains overall cleanliness and appearance of the entrance area, Concierge desk, and lobby area, including temperature, lighting, and music
 Oversees and ensures quality food and beverage service in the Lounge throughout the day
 Ensures that all printed materials are accurate, timely, and designed to meet Loews Hotels standards
 Organizes Concierge cabinets and displays
 Participates in the coordination of and promotion of holiday and special event programs
 Trains and monitors the performance of Concierge staff
 Evaluates individual employee performance, determining improvement and training needs and advancement requirements
 Works with Universal Orlando and other in-house vendors to satisfy guest entertainment needs
 Trains, praises, coaches, and counsels, and disciplines according to Loews Hotels standards
 Produces weekly schedule for department
 Maintains department labor costs within forecasted budgetary guidelines
 Schedules and participates in monthly staff meetings
 Other duties as assigned

• Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
• Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
• Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
• Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
• Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
• Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
• Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
• Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
• Recycles whenever possible
• Remains current with hotel information and changes
• Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
Required Skills and Experience
* Minimum two years experience as a Concierge in a similar quality hotel
* Minimum one year supervisory experience
* Extensive and thorough knowledge of the local area including restaurants, attractions, and shops
* Excellent communication skills – oral and written
* Outstanding guest relations skills
* Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
