The major responsibility in this position is to supervise the staff and direct them on how to repair or fix. This person must understand the technologies required in the work they are directing.
A significant portion of time will be spent moving about the hotel and frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds and carrying of up to 25 pounds may be required.
Reading and writing abilities are utilizes in order to document or record all tasks delegated and completed, to order supplies or to read equipment repair manuals.
Mathematical abilities, including basic math, volume, weight and percentages are utilized a significant portion of the time.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis working in outdoor conditions.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Must be able to react quickly in emergency situations and make decisions that may involve a great amount of money or the safety of others.
Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to asses and repair nonfunctioning machinery and/or equipment.
Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work is expected.
Ability to read and analyze Guest Service Score reports to identify and resolve mechanical issues at the hotel.
Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees do the same with them.
Solicits employee feedback, utilizes an “open door” policy, and reviews employees’ satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
Proactively track and prevent failures (i.e. battery replacements, valve replacements, etc.).
Ability to order supplies needed on specific budget set forth
Ability to communicate efficiently with others both verbal and written
Full Time Position, Benefits available after 90 days
Weekends and Holidays Required

Hotel Maintenance Preferred
Hospitality Field Preferred
1-3 years hands-on technical work experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc. required
Previous Supervisory or Management Preferred
Pool Certification Preferred
