About the role

In your role ofChief Concierge, you will be responsible for being the welcoming face of thehotel and assisting with the management of the Concierge Department bysupporting the team with daily activities, and ensuring brand service standardsare met to the highest quality. You willprovide exceptional service by engaging guests from arrival to departure, andrespond to all requests, inquiries and complaints during their stay. Reportingto the Front Office Manager, you will enjoy working as part of a team in afast-paced environment, on a 7 day roster.

Duties/responsibilities

Takeownership of the daily operations while leading, developing and supporting the Conciergeteam
*

Ensurea consistently high standard of customer service is delivered at all times
*

Takeownership of the Journey Ambassador program, understanding that the journey ofa guest is imperative to their overall satisfaction
*

Proactivelymaintain and be full conversant with all local, city and regional touristservices inclusive of tours, points of interest, restaurants, special events,transportation and other Concierge Services expected by our guests
*

Tobe familiar with all facilities, functions and special events in the hotel on adaily basis, assisting guests with any enquiries
*

Bevisible in the hotel lobby and other public areas, particularly during busytimes
*

Ensurea consistently high standard of presentation is maintained for both thedepartment, general lobby, front of hotel and team members
*

Engageguests in conversation and provide general assistance, as requested
*

Ensurethe smooth and efficient movement of luggage to and from guest rooms
*

Tocoordinate the valet parking services of the hotel, ensuring guest vehicles areparked and retrieved in a timely and efficient manner whilst being fully awareof the activities on the hotel driveway
*

Handleguest requests, inquiries and complaints where necessary
*

Meetand greet VIP guests upon arrival, where required
*

Monitor Guestsatisfaction reports and implement actions to improve results
*

Ensure team membersmaintain a professional manner and are up to date with VIP guest movements,hotel events, local attractions and activities

Skills/experience

  • Amember of Les Clefs d'Or, highly desirable

  • Aminimum of 3 years of Concierge Supervisory or Management experience in a fivestar hotel essential

  • Adegree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent, desirable

  • Fluentin the English language in order to communicate professionally with guests andteam members, both in person and over the telephone

  • Be available to worka variety of shifts including; weekends, days, afternoons and evenings over 7days

  • Provenleadership, inter-personal, training and development skills

  • Apassion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with proven experience inservice recovery

  • Computerliterate with knowledge of hotel property management systems, ONQ experiencehighly desirable

  • Demonstratedability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure

  • Well-presented,organised and calm personality
