Job Description

The ideal candidate will Support and assist the Executive Chef and the culinary team. Oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations of the hotel's culinary department. Chef de Parties need to train and supervise staff and always monitor food quality as well as manage all aspects of the food production for diverse department, including food preparation according to the specifications and standard set by the Executive Chef and adhere to all sanitation practices. Other duties include, preparing food items for customers using a quality predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner; set up station with predetermined mise en place required to service all banquet functions; practice Ecosure program for sanitation and safety daily, to ensure the total customer satisfaction. In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions: participate, support and make recommendations for ongoing hotel programs with continuous improvement in networking; select, train and supervise kitchen staff in the proper preparation of menu items, equipment and safety measures; evaluate performance, give guidance and discipline as necessary to promote quality products; observe production flow and make adjustments in order to adhere to control procedures for cost and quality.


Minimum 5 years’ experience in a higher end hotel or restaurant Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes and proper preparation Ability to supervise a large staff and accomplish goals on a timely basis Ability to conduct meetings, menu briefings and maintain communication lines between line staff and Executive Chef. Red Seal or equivalent required We are looking for a strong leader who is positive and will mentor others.
