Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will be responsible for all social events, i.e. weddings, mitzvahs, showers, etc. This sales position is revenue generated, coupled with the responsibility of event detailing. The work week for this position is Tuesday through Saturday. The ideal candidate must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed, and must have hotel Catering Sales experience (at least 1-3 years). Strong organization and time management skills are a must, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsible for soliciting, negotiating and booking all new and repeat business, via outside sales calls, prospecting, mailing, networking. Attend trade shows and participate in sales blitzes. Consistently meet or exceed sales goals. Able to effectively participate as a team player with the sales team as well as other hotel departments.
