Catering Sales Manager
Location: US - MA - Marlborough
A Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for responding to clients, companies and organizations to purchase food & beverage, rent meeting space and ancillary services from the hotel. Represents the hotel with customers by telephone or in-person to solicit and close group and local catering business. Manages customer relationship by responding to inquiries, meeting with and entertaining clients, conducting property tours, promoting facilities and services, drafting contracts.
The Catering Manager is responsible for generating revenues within the markets assigned for catering sales and servicing of the same. Revenue and solicitation goals are established during the annual property and department budget process. The Catering Sales Manager constantly works with the Kitchen and Banquet departments to relay all information and changes to insure that client has the best event possible. Some after hours/weekends may be required depending on client needs.
2 + years of prior experience in catering or hotel sales required - strong hotel banquet operations background is a plus and would be considered without sales experience. Some after hours and weekend hours may be necessary. A professional yet approachable demeanor needed. Strong organizational skills along with a passion for details is a must.
