The Business Travel Sales Manager is a highly motivated individual who will solicit and visit new and existing accounts to meetexceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication. The ideal candidate is responsible for the future development of transient sales.

Develop new and existing accounts to achieve budgeted transient sales revenue and profitability. Prospect, research and solicit new accounts.

Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.

Provide exceptional customer service through relationship development, strategizing account development and creating quarterly plans that fully exhibit commitment and creativity to exceed customer expectations.

Sell the hotel aggressively, utilizing a solution based approach to securing business in a way that delivers positively against customer and account needs.

Maintain a working knowledge and awareness of the competition and market trends in current and changing conditions.

Support and implement the specific transient sales actions outlined in the Annual Business Marketing Plans to maintain the corporate direction.

Responsible for maintaining the integrity of sales records and reports including the ISAC database, account files and sales forecast.

Participate in team brainstorming sessions, hotel staff events and other events as required for specific business situation, or as requested by Director of Sales or General Manager.

Conduct site inspections, actively entertain, and personally interact with customers, as appropriate for transient travel development.

Promote the hotels through regular industry involvement and exposure at local andor national events.

Maintain positive employee relations in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Actively support the development, training, mentoring of associates and accept such responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales Marketing or General Manager.

Perform special projects or duties as requested by Director of Sales Marketing.

This position is responsible for selling the Sheraton Reston and Westin Reston Heights
Minimum of 2 years experience in rooms sales - BT sales preferred
Knowledge of Starwood Brand systems preferred
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Detail oriented with the ability to multitask in a high traffic environment
Strong computer literacy to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Excellent communication skills both writtenverbal in the English language
Confident in high levels of interaction with internal and external clients
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Professional and friendly
