Purpose for the Position:To perform a combination of duties in an efficient, quiet and effective manner which facilitates food service and thereby provides a positive impression for the guest.
Essential Functions:1. Clears, cleans and resets tables and surrounding areas.2. Carries dirty dishes form dining room to kitchen.3. Replenishes supply of clean silverware, glassware, dishes, and other utensils in dining room.4. Stocks all clod food items on dining room buffet. Replenishes coffee urns, milk and juice dispensers as needed.5. Serves coffee and ice water refills to patrons.6. Cleans and polishes equipment such as coffee urns, juice and milk dispenser, high chairs, booster seats and sneeze guards.7. Conducts “hall runs” to pick up dishes and trays on guest floors.8. May assist in employee break room cleaning and stocking of food during employee lunch hours.9. Responsible for guest relations and courtesy when asked for help, directions, or registering a complaint.10. All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Mathematical Development: Add and subtract two digit numbers. Multiply and divide 10’s and 100’s by 2,3,4, and 5. Perform the four basic arithmetic operations with coins and as part of a dollar. Perform operations with units such as cup, pint, and quart; inch, foot, and yard; or ounce and pound.
Language Development: Reading: Recognize meaning of 2,500 (two or three syllable) words. Read at rate of 190 – 120 words per minute. Compare similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Writing: Print simple sentences containing subject, verb, and object, and series of numbers, names, and addresses.Speaking: Speak simple sentences, using normal word order, and present and past tenses.

Data: Comparing: Judging the readily observable, functional, structural or composition characteristics (whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards) of data, people or things.
People: Serving: Attending to the needs, requests or the expressed or implicit wishes of people. Immediate response is involved
Things: Handling: Using body members, hand tools, and/or special devices to work, move, or carry objects or materials. Involves little or no latitude for judgment with regard to attainment of standards or in selecting appropriate tool, object or material.
Specific Vocational Preparation:Specific Vocational Preparation includes an occupationally significant combination of: vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training, on-the-job training, or essential experience in less responsible jobs which lead to the higher job or serving in other jobs.Anything beyond short demonstration up to and including 30 days.
