Bowling Attendant

Position Summary
Ensures high standards of guest service are met or exceeded while executing all job functions, primarily in the bowling area.
Job Specific 90%
• Ensure all lane and bowling areas are spotless when lanes are issued
• Assist guests with scoring consoles; make corrections as needed
• Assist guests with choosing the proper weight and size of house ball
• Return all rental shoes to counter and house balls to racks after use
• Assist guests by adding bumpers to young bowlers as needed
• Spot clean bowling approaches as needed
• Maintain clean common areas throughout shift
• Instruct and assist guests with bowling skills as needed
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Actively sell promotions and special offers as directed by management
• Execute fast and effective lane turnover
• Clean and sanitize rental shoes
• Clean all bowling lanes, seating areas, and common areas as scheduled
• Clean bowling balls as scheduled by management
• Follow all directed guest service standards
• Maintain a safe work environment at all times
• Execute outstanding teamwork with counter attendants and lane servers
• Assist counter as needed and directed
• Busses food and beverage items as needed from bowling areas
• All other duties as assigned

General 10%
• Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
• Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
• Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
• Executes emergency procedures in accordance with Loews Hotels standards
• Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
• Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
• Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
• Complies with Loews Hotels standards, policies and rules
• Recycles whenever possible
• Remains current with Loews Hotels information and changes
• Complies with Loews Hotels uniform and grooming guidelines
Required Skills and Experience
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Ability to operate cleaning equiptment
• Above average communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
• 1-2 years previous Bowling experience preferred

Qualification Standards
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1-2 years previous Bowling experience preferred
