Job Description:

The restaurant events manager is responsible for handling restaurant large party’s and special event bookings. In addition this person works with the hotel marketing team to build relationships and solicit business from local clientele in order to establish the restaurants as a preferred meeting destination. This person is responsible for outlet programing including but not limited to micros, sales mix reporting, production of dining guide, production of holiday events and production of special events. Lastly this person works closely with the CS team to maximize capture in the outlets from groups in house.

Responsibilities:

* Foster positive relationships
* Lateral support to F&B team during high business volumes
* Field and follow up with all restaurant reservations of 12 or more
* Work with clients to reserve, detail, and organize large party bookings
* Work with CS to maximize capture in the outlets for in house groups
* Work with Sales, Marketing, and Dir. Food and Beverage to brainstorm, book and organize special events
* Provide support in researching past groups
* Organize and keep all current outlet menus
* Create collateral for outlet special events
* Work with Director of Food and Beverage to brainstorm events and specials to market to local guests
* Actively seek local business. This may include calls and /or visits to local businesses and residents.
* Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, and open table
* Can effectively coordinate details with the other departments in regards to food & beverage

Qualifications:

* 2 years of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role preferred.
* Must have the ability to manage deadlines.
* Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is preferred.
* General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
