Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION: The Bistro Attendant is responsible for providing prompt, courteous service for the guest. Will take the guests orders and enter the orders into the POS system. The Bistro Attendant will also collect payment from guests and make coffee orders.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Coffee shop experience preferred.
  • Extensive coffee and tea knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Pleasant personality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure cleanliness of restaurant including polished flatware, clean glassware and plates. 
  • Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants. 
  • Greet guests and take food and beverage orders in a professional manner. 
  • Input data into Point of Sale system. 
  • Make change if necessary, while keeping an accurate and secure bank. 
  • Make copies of all paperwork and checks daily. 
  • Organize and keep stocked the Grab and Go area. 
  • Re-order all items needed for the Grab and Go area. 
  • Have working knowledge of coffee, tea, blended drinks and food that is served in a coffee shop environment. Able to suggest coffee blended drinks. 
  • Interact with guests to take drink and food orders. 
  • Communicate with kitchen for food ordering. 
  • Delivering food to guest quickly and efficiently. 
  • Supports staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, clear tables, and bus stations.
