Job Details

Principal Responsibilities:

- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence and employee assistance.
- Maintains benefit vendor relationships, collaborates with vendor partners to improve plan administration processes/practices.
- Assists employees with questions regarding employee benefits and policies. Provides quality service to all employees and strives to continuously prove service delivery and expectations.

Job Duties:
- Problem Solving- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Develops alternative solutions, uses reason at all times. Makes timely decisions while exhibiting sound judgment. Includes appropriate people in decision making process.
- Project Management– Manages and communicates changes and progress. Prepares and supports those affected by change, monitors transition, and evaluates results. Coordinates annual open enrollments and quarterly 401K open enrollments.
- Communication - Demonstrates group presentation skills. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Writes clearly, and has the ability to read and interpret written information. Communicates change effectively. Provides analytical and technical support of the benefit programs.
- Team Work – Exhibits objectivity and openness to the views of others and contributes to building a positive team spirit. Upholds organizational values, treats people with respect and promotes a harassment free environment.
- Quality Management – Aligns work with strategic goals, looking for ways to improve and promote quality while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness. Strives to increase productivity.
- Adaptability – Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, changing approach or method to best fit a situation.
- Interpersonal Skills– Maintains confidentiality. Listens attentively. Communicates changes and updates to diverse employee population.
- Organizational Support– Facilitates benefits trainings in accordance to company guidelines and needs in order to foster positive attitude towards company goals. Assists with the roll out and implementation of new employee benefit initiatives. Manages difficult or emotional employee situations. Assists Director of HR with charitable efforts, orientations, employee events, activities, etc.
- Compliance - Maintains confidentiality. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting benefits functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. Responsible for ensuring compliance with ERISA and HIPPA regulations as well as state specific laws related to benefits. Responsible for FMLA administration and compliance.
- Business Acumen – Understands business implications of decisions, aligns work with strategic goals. Audits and reconciles monthly bills (health, dental, life, STD, etc.)
- Professionalism– Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Exhibits professionalism at all times.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four year college or university strongly preferred; three years related experience and/or training. Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service is necessary. Computer knowledge including intranet, UltiPro or similar HRIS system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred. Must have valid drivers license, and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.
