RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property
  • Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities
  • Identify and explain room features to guests (e.g., use of room key, mini-bar, ice and vending areas, valet laundry services)
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Assist guests in and out of vehicles, including assisting with loading/unloading luggage (arrival/departure)
  • Supply guests with directions
  • Arrange transportation (e.g., taxi cab, shuttle bus) for guests/visitors, and record advance transportation request as needed
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
  • Maintains shuttle activity and maintenance logs
  • Communicates by telephone, two-way radio and in person
  • Represents the hotel in a professional manner, and the Marriott brand
  • Keeps inside and outside of vehicle properly cleaned and fueled on an ongoing basis
  • Transports guests to and/or from the hotel and local area in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner using safe driving practices
  • Park shuttle in designated location when not in use
  • Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs
  • Document all vehicle incidents (e.g., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor
  • Recognize all repeat guests, VIPs; be able to recognize them and know about their special requests
  • Handle all guests’ requests and fulfill them as quickly as possible
  • Ensure compliance with accident prevention guidelines
  • Follow all necessary safety procedures for accidents
