Job Description

  • Respond to internal and external guest requests and concerns in a personal, prompt and courteous manner, in person and/or on the telephone

  • Responsible for maintaining high and consistent level of Guest Services

  • Acknowledge guest compliments and complaints and ensure that the guests’ needs are met

  • Ensure inter-departmental communication and co-operation in the interest of better guest satisfaction

  • Assist guests requiring luggage assistance in accordance to the service standards set by the hotel.Inclusive of ensuring that guest luggage is securely stored, and/or delivered to the appropriate room

  • Deliver guest items as requested in “running duties” effectively and efficiently

  • Accept dry cleaning from guests and secure for pick up by Dry Cleaning Company; delivers clean laundry to guest room in a timely manner

  • Conduct in room guest tour during every guest “check-in”, in accordance with the hotel service standards

  • Support other Front Office functions, such as Concierge Services and the Satellite Lobbies as required

  • Follow-up and communicate pertinent guest related facts to colleagues and superiors

  • Execute the follow-up of all guest requests or concerns

  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform and body language

  • Be polite and professional in any situation where the image of the hotel is represented

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the Canadian Laws and hotel policies

  • Regularly review all associate and hotel policies; and act in accordance to them

  • Be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.Follow departmental guidelines on guest safety at all times

  • Communicate and develop relationships with all supporting departments, especially Housekeeping, to ensure consistent levels of exceptional guest service are achieved

  • Be well informed about all hotel facilities and history in order to provide informative and interesting hotel tours as required

  • Collect and maintain information on the hotel and surrounding area

Job Requirements

  • Excellent command of the English language both oral and written

  • Demonstrate customer service ethic and have a friendly and outgoing disposition

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to handle pressure, varied workloads and multiple tasks

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

  • An enthusiastic, self directed, team player with high level of adaptability to rapidly changing demands
