What Will I Be Doing?
As Bellman/ Driver, you would be responsible for greeting, transporting guest luggage to and from guest rooms and providing valet services. Your efforts contribute to the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Transport guest luggage from the point of arrival at the hotel to their assigned rooms.
Transport guest luggage from current room to reassigned room for room changes.
Transport guest luggage from their room to the point of departure at the hotel.
Assist in locating guests’ lost luggage.
Tag, store, and retrieve luggage from holding room.
Identify and explain hotel facilities and services to guests while escorting them to their room.
Identify fire exits and safety features of assigned room.
Demonstrate use of room keys to guests.
Place guest luggage inside room.
Identify and explain guest room features.
Maintain accurate knowledge of hotel services.
Relay accurate directions to guests on inquiries of transportation within local area.
Answer belldesk telephone according to hotel standards.
Deliver items to guest rooms promptly.
Maintain cleanliness of luggage carts.
Provide valet services. Park and retrieve guests’ vehicles.
Drive hotel shuttle van to airport or other locations.
• Must have guest service experience, preferably in a hotel setting
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment, follow through on guest and employee requests, ensure guest satisfaction, and work as a team player
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Flexible schedule required for days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to effectively communicate in English with supervisor, fellow employees and guests
