Bell Person - Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

Position Summary
Fulfills the Loews Brand Promise by providing “And More” service to our Guests both internal and external. Responsible for providing a variety of guest service activities in an exceptionally friendly, professional and efficient manner commensurate with the demands of a world-class resort. Rooms guests, handles guest luggage, and provides travel directions and any other assistance which may be required.

Assists arriving and departing guests in a highly professional manner and with utmost courtesy
• Handles all luggage, baggage, packages, etc. carefully and safely
• Rooms arriving guests and assists guests who are checking in per Hotel standards
• Ensures that all luggage and bags are in a safe, secure area while awaiting transfer
• Electronically records and initials all activity of guests requests, luggage storage, package deliveries and assignments dispatched via the Espresso Property Management System
• Completely familiar with all room types, room amenities and Hotel facilities, provides such information to Hotel guests
• Completely familiar with Hotel emergency procedures and provides necessary information to Hotel guests
• Handles guest inquiries professionally and with the utmost courtesy and accuracy
• Becomes familiar with guests’ names and always acknowledges guests' by name
• Provides guests with Hotel and surrounding area information and travel directions
• Promotes Hotel facilities, Food and Beverage outlets, and recreation programs
• Handles master keys with care and follows proper sign-in/out procedures following key control and security procedures
• Maintains a good working relationship with all Hotel departments
• Stands at post when not on a “Front” or “Last”
• Maintains cleanliness of Hotel front entrance area and lobby, contacting Housekeeping for major cleaning tasks
• Maintaining and controlling of the Lobby Beverage Service at all times, with the assistance of Star Service
• Ensures the prompt satisfaction of guest requests and the exceptionally professional resolution of guest complaints
• Performs pick-ups and drop-offs outside of Universal Orlando Resort
• May perform the duties of a resort shuttle driver.
• Answers telephone in accordance with Loews Hotels Star Service Standards
• Assists guests with transportation needs
• Is alert to guests who appear to be intoxicated and intend to drive a vehicle – takes appropriate action or contacts Security as necessary
• Follows department procedures and all Loews Hotels guidelines, policies, procedures and Star Service Standards
• Maintains a positive working relationship with all hotel departments
Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
• Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
• Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
• Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
• Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
• Polish and clean luggage carts daily
• Polish and clean lobby stanchions weekly
• Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
• Recycles whenever possible
• Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
• Remains current with hotel information and changes
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push a cart weighing up to 250 pounds
• Continual bending, lifting, stopping and pushing
• Extensive knowledge of all hotel departments
• Excellent communication skills – oral and written
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, have a sense of urgency to complete projects and be detail oriented
• Basic Knowledge of computer programs utilized in property management
• Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
