Job Description

Position Responsibilities: HEIGHTENING THE CHIC in CHICAGO

The Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago is a true representation of the brand and has become a destination in itself. Radisson Blu is the upper-upscale division of our global hotel brand, focusing on design, style and attention to detail in every respect. Situated near the confluence of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River in the Lakeshore East Development Award Winning Aqua Tower, Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel is surrounded by Chicago's biggest tourist attractions, including Millennium Park, Navy Pier and the fabulous shopping of Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile. It is also connected to the Chicago Pedway system and surrounded by incredible views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Skyline.

The position of Bellperson requires an ability to provide superior guest service in a fast-paced, upscale environment. As a Bellperson, your responsibilities will include:



*Providing a positive first and last impression to our guests as they arrive and leave the hotel.

*Assist guests with luggage to their rooms promptly when checking in and upon checking out.

*Hail taxicabs and answer guest inquiries.

*Inform arriving guest of various hotel amenities while escorting them to their room.

*Once in the room, provide the guest with room information including basic telephone instructions; television channels; mini bar refrigeration; heating and air conditioning, laundry and dry cleaning services, etc.

*Possess knowledge of the Chicago downtown area to assist guests with information on special events (theater, movies, entertainment, restaurants, etc.)

*Deliver faxes, messages, packages, flowers, wine and other items to guests in their guestrooms.





Position Requirements: *Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations

*Ability to work flexible schedule, including morning, afternoons, nights and weekends

*Excellent communication skills

*Must possess a strong team spirit

*Ability to stand for extended periods of time

*Ability to lift and/or move 50-70 pounds
