Position Description

You've always been hyper alert to your surroundings, with an uncanny sense when things aren't right. This sharp awareness enables you to prevent loss, and sound experience enables you to act with swift confidence, when trouble surfaces. Your manner is composed and professional, whether reporting minor incidents or responding to serious emergencies. Someone with this talent and expertise would have a great opportunity as a Security Guard with Interstate. It could be you.

Bar security officers will be responsible for the following:

  • ID/Age Verification

  • Ensuring dress code compliance

  • Monitoring all entrance doors

  • Visual monitoring of lounge area

  • Patrol of lounge area

  • Removal of hazards

  • Communicatewith other bar security officers, bar staff and Manager on Duty

  • Communicate effectively with local law enforcement when necessary

Previous loss prevention/security experience preferred. Must enjoy interacting with guests. Sound judgement and decision making skills are essential. Must have current first aid/CPR certification or be able to get it within 30 days of employment. Ability to communicate with guests in English is essential, a second language would be helpful. Must be able to actively patrol assigned areas - both indoors and out, in all weather conditions. Must be at least 18 years old. This is a part time position. Schedule will be primarily Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
